The Proposal Play is without a doubt my new favorite book in the Love and Hockey series! I absolutely loved Maeve and Asher's relationship. Even as friends, there was just something truly special between them. I truly adored their banter. I found myself laughing a lot at their funny interactions. Once they started their marriage of convenience, I liked the way their dynamic slowly and effortlesly transformed into a beautiful romantic love! Let's not forget the spicy moments these two shared... so hot! The audiobook duet narration by Vanessa Edwin and Robert Hatchet was incredibly good! They were the perfect Maeve and Asher. I'm now really excited for what's next in this series!

Hockey romances are the big rage at the moment, but this book was so much more than that. LB can create a character that you would love to meet and hang out with in a world that’s inclusive and so welcoming you’d never want to leave. Not everything is perfect though, and that’s true to life as we all have insecurities or vulnerability to some degree and even experience stress anxiety. The biggest thing I adore about her characters are the way they are loyal and supportive whether it’s as a couple or in a friend group environment. This is why I will always come back to read a LB novel. I fall into her books with anticipation of what’s going to happen and walk away with a huge smile on my face.
Asher and Maeve had both grown up with adversity that has shaped them in their adult lives, although they still had some things to overcome. Luckily they have each other and friends for guidance and encouragement. Which they will need after a quick wedding in Vegas, as you do! Things could spiral out of control if they aren’t careful.
Another huge bonus with a LB publication is her audio books. She is meticulous on getting the right narrator for each of her characters and she hit the jackpot with Robert Hatchet and Vanessa Edwin. Both were spot on for depicting their roles and it was a dream to listen to.
