This was my first book by this author and it won’t be the last. I loved watching Maeve and Asher go from friends to lovers with a marriage of convenience in there. Maeve struggling to be an artist and follow her own path even though it was hard spoke to me in so many ways. Asher’s realizations as the “game” of being married ended up being much more than that made me kick my feet happily too. I don’t want to give too much away but the spice was very yummy and, let’s be real, I wouldn’t mind having an Asher of my very own!

It was your typical marriage of convenience, friends to lovers, “have I really been in love with her all this time?” Book, nothing special, was it fun yeah I guess but there wasn’t anything that really stood out for me. This wasn’t her strongest book tbh, the story could’ve been shorten by 200 pages, it started to get really repetitive and boring towards the 70% mark of both the FMC and MMC wanting to confess that they loved each other and neither wanted to speak up and say it and I just felt like the “conflict” when the owner of the team found out they got fake married has been the same conflict in the last book and this book.

Overall I’ll give it a solid 2.75/5, the spice was 2/5.
