I love angst , rivalry, enemies to lovers kind of books, but this? This was a sweet,a storm outside kind of day with a toasty warm fire and hot chocolate bundled up inside kind of story. Sweet but not too sickeningly sweet.
I love gentle Giants ( and yes that's a thing) especially when they are goofy ,that's the energy Reggie gives me.He is like the Blake from the Him series by sarina Bowen. I love how Everett goes from being this prickly grumpy person at the start of the book to being this adorably sweet guy who has no walls with Reggie. As long at it is him.
They just make a beautiful couple that balances each other out

This reads like a low-budget porno with cringey dialogue.
But I finished it anyway because it's like watching a speeding trainwreck where you wish you looked away but didn't.

So over the top and silly but I LOVED it. For some reason it made me cry when they had their tiny fight so it gets an extra star
This book is easy and fun. There is some angst to go with the sexual discovery as expected, but it’s handled reasonably well.
There’s a bit too much ‘I’m not gay’ here. However, it’s not sad maliciously, so I can give it a pass.

I listened to the audiobook in just about one go, and it was fun, not a lot of angst, mainly people figuring out that bisexuality exists etc
After reading Filthy Sweet, I was really excited to get my hands on Reggie’s story. Filthy Bromance was a slow burn friends to lovers story that was just okay for me, not a story that’ll stick with me for long.
Reggie seems like your stereotypical bro - he’s an athletic trainer who constantly is in sweats and tanks and prefers protein shakes over cooking. But he’s surprisingly sweet, compassionate, in touch with his feelings and open to new things underneath that jock exterior. Everett is battling his way to the top of the professional tennis world but after an injury takes him out, he turns to Reggie to get him back in shape. He’s been alone for a long time and is hesitant to let people in, so he tries to keep Reggie and his family at arm’s length.
Their relationship is definitely a slow burn and it take a long time for them to finally admit their feelings. The bromance with benefits went on too long for my liking and they avoided talking about their feelings for way too long. But I think they were sweet together and balanced each other out well, though I really wanted to see more of their happiness even before the epilogue.
I really liked getting glimpses of Owen and Fox throughout - seeing them so happy and in love made me smile! It would be fun to see an extended epilogue with the four of them years later to see what they’re all up to after marriage and finishing up playing professionally.

Reggie was just too cheesy and cringey for me to enjoy this book.
I picked this book up on wind because it was on sale on Amazon, and boy, was I in for a surprise. First, let me say that the two characters, Everett and Reggie, were fucking so funny. Like their relationship was so funny to me, it was nice to see two love interests enjoy joking around and boring out. Their relationship naturally came to a head, and then Reggie was like yup, this is good for me. Reggie has a heart of gold, and Everett, described as cocky, needs someone to enjoy and support him. I could not put this book down, making me want to read the remaining series. I also enjoyed that they were not outed, which is very typical in sports romance books, Everett was like oh, time to get my man. Their relationship with me was just so golden-hearted and was a lovely/easy read.
