I was so excited for this book! The only reason I read the first book in the series was to read this one, and I ended up liking the first one better, who knew! I think this falls under the whole preference thing, this just wasn't for me and I didn't like Reggie's character even from the first book, so I should have expected this rating in hindsight. Plus thier relationship felt a bit awkward?? I don't know how to describe it, the chemistry just wasn't there and thier conversations felt robotic.
Either way, this was a fun story, albeit less steamy and more of a slow burn than the first book, and it had more of a focus of bi-awakening for both characters. I enjoyed that part of the book and how they had their two big relationship milestones during their arguments, it felt very The Notebook, iykyk. I enjoyed those parts the most! You gotta love an angry kiss and I Love You!
I'm glad I read this series and got to know these characters!

This is a slow burn friends to lovers, bi awakening m/m romance.
I have to say I’m so glad Reggie got his happy ending. We met him in Owen and Fox’s book and totally fell in love with the big goof. And to watch his journey with Everett was so amazingly beautiful. Two men start up a friendship that slowly turns into something neither ever thought would. Love. But they do a have a few struggles along the way. This is really really sweet and I hope there is more form this series
So much better than the first book
I’d give it ten stars if I could.
Grumpy/sunshine
Hurt/comfort
A big cinnamon roll of a man
Double bi-awakening
So hot it will melt your kindle.
But also all the feels.
Just read it. It’s like *really* good.

I really liked this book, way more than I thought I would. It sucked me right in and it was just the right amount of slow burn for me. I think I will go back and read the 1st book, which I missed.
