I am pleasantly surprised by this one.
It seemed a bit dry and meh at first, being written as all diary entries. Chapter 2 of 2 though twisted that all up. with Adam and Emma's murder plan and how Emma has always known her brother was capable, but covers for him anyway. Even the twist had a surprise, that completely goes with classic Christmas stories. Ghost stories used to be told Christmas season cause of the early dark and dreay weather.</spoiler >

The Christmas Guest by PeterSwanson (audio book)
This was a likable Christmas read. I thought the plot was well paced for the length of the book. The identity twist was unpredictable and made the second half very entertaining. I will say, the sound of pages turning drove me crazy in the first part of the audio book.
