Another 3.75-4 stars on this one. Mal (drummer in the band) finally has to settle down. (Although they don't really mention that in the book, that I can recall)

I do love series that are all standalones and this series fits that bill nicely. We briefly met Mal (MMC) in the first book, and Ann (FMC) is new, although she lives across from Lauren, who's dating Nate, who is Ev's brother.. and so it goes. So yeah, there are plenty of returning characters.
Ann gets screwed over by her roomie, (She IS kind of a pushover) and goes to a party with Lauren and Nate where she meets Mal. (And OBVIOUSLY he was her favorite band member)

They have their angsty moments, and lol stuff. Cute, funny and light on the steam. I am loving this series and will continue to listen.

Omg I love Mal!! This book was fantastic sexy and funny! There were parts that I actually laughed out loud. Wish I could read it again for the first time. Kylie Scott has become one of those authors where I won't have to know what the next book is about before I read it!

Man this series is so good! Differently a guilty pleasure read. I repeat from my review of the first book that Kylie Scott does and amazing job at giving enough plot and not making the books purely about the naughty stuff. Great balance.

I loved Mal so much that I'm glad to have a book with more of him in it! I haven't really felt much connection to reading the next to about Jimmy and Ben but I'll give them a shot seeing as I loved the first two and I couldn't put them down!

3.5 stars...

I wanted to love this book, but I just liked it. That being said, I do believe that some people would love it. The problem for me? Mal was just... too hyper. And as a hyper person myself, I am overly critical of others like me. That probably isn’t fair, but I can’t change it.

I did love returning to this world, though. And I loved how they grew to love each other, kind of the opposite of David and Evelyn. The contrast was a good choice; we’d already read the impulsive marriage story, most likely, so now it was time for the organic love story. And honestly, Anne was the perfect match for Mal. I loved him in book one, so I wanted a great partner for him, and she worked well. The problem was that Mal was easier to love as a side character. When he was the MMC, his quirks became a little too much. But Anne balanced him out well; her maturity was definitely needed. And as far as the storyline/eventual dramatic reveal, it was well done, touching, and realistic, as I’ve come to expect from this author. And I will for sure continue the series!!

The humor that the narrator brought to the recording had me laughing throughout the book.
