I liked these characters, but was a little let down by the ending It was too "Return to Me" for my taste. . This also reminded me a lot of Winter Town

The only reason this is getting 3 stars is because it had a slightly better ending than what the book was leading up to.
I didn’t have any expectations for this book going into it. It was okay, but kinda slow and boring. The last 30-50 pages actually made it bearable though. This is just my opinion. Contemporary has never been my style, but maybe it’s yours.

I, surprisingly, really enjoyed this book. I went into this book thinking that it would be okay, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. However, I'm not really sure why I liked it, because I didn't love any of the characters. At some points, Ezra was really clueless, and at other times he kind of acted like a jerk, but he definitely grew during this novel, and I really enjoyed reading about his growth and coming to terms with his own "personal tragedy". Ezra wasn't a terrible character though, and he definitely had more redeeming moments that just acting like a jerk. Cassidy was a very interesting character, and I was actually kind of suspicious of her, and in some ways, my suspicions were correct, but in other ways, my suspicions were completely wrong. I did grow some sort of respect and sympathy for her by the end of the novel, and I understood why she made certain decisions, and I'm really glad that Robyn Schneider kind of resolved the issue between Cassidy and Ezra at the end (at least it made sense in my mind). I just think that what really had a special place for me in this book was the talk about debate. My sister is a high school policy debater, and I know the basics of policy debate, so it was really interesting and also exciting to see high school debate featured in a young adult novel. Overall, this was a really enjoyable, quick read (I read it all today in a couple of hours).

«Porque ese año tomé una decisión, comenzar a que me importaran las cosas de una manera que no tenía nada que ver con los equipos deportivos o las coronas de plástico, y la realidad es que podría haberla tomada sin ella, o sin nunca haberme enamorado de una chica que consideraba que el amor era el mayor desastre de todos».

3.5. I liked the writing style and the narrator's voice. The story moved along quickly, but the ending fell apart a bit for me.

Just absolutely terrible. All of the characters were a manifestation of white rich snobs.
On a side note, if I had a dollar for every time someone said something "sheepishly", I would be rich.
