Very 2010. Could have used less homophobia and misogyny. Idk how I feel about the art. I should probably finish the show at some point.

I love this hilarious foray into the life of the Guild and it ties right up to the fist episode the show giving us glimpse into how Codex came to be and how the Guild was formed.

This was pretty cute! It's been a really long time since I've watched the webseries, but this definitely made me remember it fondly and kind of want to rewatch it. Felicia Day is so cute and even her graphic novel counterpart feels so perfectly authentic and lovable. More than anything, it was just neat to read a prequel and see how she came to meet all of these other gamers.
I think my only real complaint was how inconsistent the artwork was. Some panels were beautiful, while a lot of others were really... meh.

I’ve been following Felicia Day’s career for a while. I’ve seen the YouTube series "The Guild" as well as her participation in the "Geek and Sundry" channel. So I started reading this graphic novel first volume with high expectations.
This first volume can be considered a prelude to what we find in the youtube series. Despite having liked the original format, the comic didn’t work so well. It seemed slower, the characters less interesting and the exaggerated attempt of making the graphics stick to the real life actors withdrew the originality in this book.
