Meh. It was interesting because I learned about a world I knew nothing about. But I wasn't rooting for her. She joined a "billionaire boys club" and decided to run her own in the exact same way, including exploiting young, attractive women for the enjoyment of rich, older, (mostly white), men. Gross.
Molly's Entitled Whitegirl Life.
(More than one star cuz, like, I guess I relate a little? And also because near the end I kept getting Transviolet's "The Hamptons" stuck in my head. At least one star for that song.)

WOW this book was good! It flowed like a dream and seeing as I read it on my flight to Vegas in one sitting I'd say it was written pretty well too. Molly is an intriguing person and her story is sometimes unbelievable, but it's just that good. I even loved how it ended before the story was over making me just want more. I watched the movie on the return flight and I must say it was awful! Some books should stick to being just that!
Amazing!
Could not put the book down, I loved every second of it. I knew the outcome, but was captivated by the story and how it all played out. Highly recommended this book!

I enjoyed reading this book. It had an interesting plot and had some good background into how poker games were set up.
The thing is I had watched the trailer before reading this book. Due to this I had assumed that at least half the book would be about her and the fbi. However the fbi part didn’t come until right at the end and was quite vague and was over quite quickly.
Molly’s game is an exciting read, however it was just not what I was expecting.

I find most memoirs are just a way for the author to convince me why they are justified in their poor life choices. And though I did find that a little in Molly's Game, it wasn't as off putting as others. The book was pretty entertaining and I was able to add to my poker vocabulary.
This book shocked me. I was fascinated with how intrigued and entertained I was. I picked it up at the airport because I had seen the trailer for the movie and I haven't been able to put it down.
Molly Bloom is a fascinating women. I fell head over heels for her story. I admired her ambition and the "business" she ran. She seriously built something. And worked for it. That's incredible especially from 2003-2011 and in LA and NYC. Some of the stories were ridiculous, radical and unbelievable. But at the same time, it was the right amount of lunacy to be truthful.
Let me be clear -- I am not condoning what she did. Because yes, she committed a federal crime and did time for it. However, I admire how she has owned up to her mistakes, stating several times that she made mistakes and was wrong. I am ridiculously excited for the movie and I think this story is relevant in Hollywood now, with all of the accusations, controversy and change the industry is experiencing.
All in all, while it wasn't well written, the story was intriguing and the book as a whole surprised me. I am happy with the impromptu purchase.
Conclusion: Keep

Will Tobey Maguire please respond?
Eagerly awaiting the film adaptation...

Compulsively readable - I did the Bad Decisions Book Club mantra of "just one more chapter" for three nights in a row.
I have already seen the movie, and while the book doesn't have the snappy Sorkin dialogue, it does name names. Tobey Maguire - what a freakin' sociopath.
It felt like it ended to soon; I was desperate to read more. I hope she writes a follow up.
