I was so impressed with how the author was able to intertwine the development of Verity and Theodore’s secret torrid love affair concurrently with the events of the first book without it feeling redundant. I loved this book even more than the previous one. I’m a sucker for character introspection, and this story delves deeper into not only the main characters but the Du Bell family as well. The happy plot twist has me wondering if that’s the segue to Hathor’s HEA in the next book.
