Thank you NetGalley and the author for letting me read an arc! This was a cute romance. I should read the first book beforehand but it was nice. The plot felt slow in some places and I couldn’t get into it in the beginning. But I recommend it if you want a cute regency read.

it was okay

Out of the 6 books of this author that I have read this one is my least favorite. The book took too many twists and turns that did not seem necessary to me. Also I wasn’t a big fan of the heroine. She came off a bit too selfish, demanding, and needy at times. Perhaps it can all be chalked off as her immaturity, but I found it to be off putting

This is my favorite book in the series so far.  I loved Verity and the Doctor.  You could feel their love throughout the story, as well as their passion for each other.  I especially liked how although Theodore (in other's eyes) was not the right person for Verity, She fought the naysayers and fought for him, despite the odds.  And the twists and turns kept me entertained and on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.

3.5 the ending was cute .. the middle how ever was too long too many details, I done without. T he build up at the end was PERFECT wished it happened towards the middle and not the end, and wrapped the book up even sooner

This was absolutely delightful.
This is in a weird way, more like the TV show Bridgerton than the books the show is based on.
This has an interracial cast of characters, and no explanation is given for Black Aristocracy in the UK, and it flows perfectly.
There's also an Edwina Sharma in the novel as a side character, and it's a cute nod to the show.
These books are sweet, and the men aren't giant assholes.
It's a win for me, and I look forward to the next book in this series, which will be released this coming Tuesday. I've pre-ordered an audiobook copy from Libro, and I'm all ready to get started.
I'm so excited!
