Damn with that plot twist at the end I’m dying to read the next book and seriously regretting not getting it out at the library when I had the chance, I might have to make a trip there tonight.

From Children's Literature: In Burn for Burn (2012), Lillia, Kat, and Mary learned that while revenge may seem sweet, it comes with consequences. The three girls banded together to get even with classmates who had wronged them: Lillia going after Alex; Kat targeting Rennie; and Mary pursuing Reeve. As Fire with Fire opens, it seems that the girls are putting their revenge schemes behind them and that normal life will resume. But when Reeve turns out to be a bigger jerk than originally realized, the three decide to join forces one more time: he seems to have a crush on Lillia, so Lillia will lure him in and then break his heart as he has broken Mary’s. A relationship between Lillia and Reeve has the added benefit of infuriating Rennie, who is being as spiteful as ever. At first, all goes according to plan, but over time, Lillia starts to develop real feelings for the injured quarterback. Kat’s role is fairly minor in this installment, while Mary’s paranormal powers that were previously suggested start to heat up. As with the first volume, the relational drama gains momentum toward the end, and the cliffhanger finish includes a shocker that will make readers wonder where exactly Han and Vivian are going with the whole story arc. Fans of the Pretty Little Liars (2006) series may enjoy the ride, although the length (over 500 pages) may deter some, given the slow pace. Purchase where the first title in the series is popular.

Anything Jenny Han does is perfect !! Fight me! I’ve read this 500+ page book within a couple days and I loved it. The whole series is amazing. I love this little abnormal ability thing that’s going on and also seeing the girls‘ friendship improve.

Just when I think I know what this series is about, I'm thrown for a complete loop. I really like the dimensions of the characters although I find their development to be a bit lacking at times. However, that ending should change my perspective on that topic. I can't wait to read the finale!
