I think the difficulty of this book is trying to disassociate it from reality. The entire piece is, in my opinion, a commentary on the true nature of the human condition. We are all deeply immoral, but our actions are what define us. We're all hypocrites and sometimes the good we seek is the evil of the world.

A book that feels weird as the plot gets. We see a guy's obssession with a girl and the extent of how this sickness can be perpetuated.
