I think Lolita is a book that people should read, because it covers a very controversial topic in a way that makes it stand out. The way the book is written makes the reader understand and almost sympathize with Humbert Humbert, even though the things he does are obviously very wrong. I kept needing to remind myself that this man was raping an innocent girl and getting away with it. I understand that the way that H.H. describes everything fits in with his character, but for me personally it made it tough to keep reading sometimes.

I am just disturbed and grateful to be done reading this book.
I did not like it not only because of the pedophilia but also because of the writing itself. It seemed to be all over the place often times with tangents about random sights, feelings, experiences, etc,. It was pretty boring ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As another review stated, it could lose about 50 pages in the middle.
