Survivor by Laurence Janifer is a suspenseful science fiction novel which would probably appeal to many Robert Heinlein fans. It's about latent aliens taking over the minds of about half of the human colonists who had been peacefully colonizing their planet for 20 years, and a few humans fighting back against the possessed ones. It is somewhat like a zombie movie or The Puppet Masters, but the protagonist tries not to kill anyone. The author has a terrific sense of humor and fluid style that keeps the pages turning. And it has some clever ideas for fighting telepathic enemies.
