OSCAR WILDE MY SWEET HONEY I HOPE I MEET YOU IN HEAVEN!!!
I have never in my life laughed out loud while reading like I did with this. Feminist king Oscar Wilde, eternal diva, absolute god of satire, (and nothing requires more brains than actually being funny), you've done it again.

a wonderfully silly, neuroqueer text. I love wilde!! i love how he creates a completely free and subversive space in his writing!! this is laugh-out-loud funny in places due to how much it subverts expectations.

This play uses the English language as well as it can be used. I look forward to reading more of Wilde’s work.
A classic by Oscar Wilde, this play is one of the original "secret/dual identity" stories. Wilde's unique humor and satire come through in every act. In the late 19th/early 20th century in England, Ernest/Jack splits his time between the city and the countryside. A story of 2 relationships based (initially) on deception, it's an adventure the reader can't help but enjoy going along on. The amount of fantastic quotes and one-liners alone is enough reason to give this play a quick read.
This is a brilliant short piece. It was definitely meant for the stage or screen, as one really has to imagine the characters' faces and actions in order to be absorbed into the story. I love satire, and I believe I'll be looking for this in the local theater listings. (I already missed it once)
Im going to have to watch it in some form because it did not bring me unbridled joy by reading it
Funny, fun, clever. I'll grant you it's always best to see a live performance of a play, but reading it was enjoyable too.
