I so love this series. Every single book has brought me joy. I really like the unique way that Meyer works in the fairy tales into this new and really detailed world. I have never felt bored picking up these books. I've always been entertained. Yes, it has your corny romances, but for me I loved them all. It didn't bother me and the story was so enthralling that I was constantly rooting for all the characters. I was impressed at the level of feels Meyer was able to give me with such a range of characters. They were all very full and well written out, and I loved it. I loved this series and would highly recommend it.

This was honestly the perfect ending to the TLC series. The 800 pages just flew by so fast and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. There were so many moments where I would literally sob my heart out, squeal with excitement while cheering the characters on. The near ending scared me so much, I genuinely feared for Cinder and cried so hard, but I’m so glad everything worked out and we got them living happily ever after. I don’t think I would ever get over the immense enjoyment while reading this series. The ending was so satisfying and I love every couple so dearly. Already made a Pinterest board, so you could tell I am beyond obsessed with them!! This truly is a fairytale I’ll never forget!

Finally the last books of the series!! Winter (Snow white) is the stepdaughter of Lavana and has chosen not to use her gift. However, that decision of hers costs her her sanity. I would have liked this book to have more Winter povs, like the other books. Therefore, it was more of a book named Winter, but povs from each character equally numbered, than a book about Winter, with some povs from other characters. But maybe that was what the plot demanded. The book started a little "slow" for me, and the good part started after Scarlet found Wolf (which was my favorite part of the book as well). Maybe the ending, plus, was too fairy tale -ly for me, but that didn't ruin the book for me.
Now for the good stuff. The characters have grown up, and you could easily see why they have changed so much. I really liked that, because some book characters tend to be the same even after, let’s say, a war, which doesn't really make sense. Each story had a great ending, and the action parts were fairly enjoyable and interesting. I loved that the plot wasn't a straight forward save the world kind of story, but it was like waves, bringing joy and then sadness in the very next chapter (like when Cinder was about to be executed, but managed to escape and dive into the lake, really didn't see that coming!).
In the end, I felt a bitter sweet feeling. I was satisfied with what I read and the whole journey was one hell of a ride, but the thing that all this is over, is kind of depressing. Oh, well, there is not a happily ever after without some sadness in it.

I think Winter was a great and necessary addition to the gang, and her point-of-view chapters were consistently engaging and fun to read. Her hallucinations and paranoia could have been handled with a bit more nuance and care. The friends-to-lovers trope was pretty cute, and I especially liked
how Jacin helped Winter through her bad episodes.
I also enjoyed the way the various plotlines were tied up; it made for a very satisfying ending.

This book was quite long, though, and I'm not sure the length was justified.

this series ate.

OMGOMGOMG THIS WAS LITERALLY AMAZING. i would say it is the perfect ending but idk if stars above will have some sort of ending and it would continue on with teh story. BUT SOOOO MUCH HAPPENED can i just say i LOOOOOOOVE all the main characters. like I FUCKING LOVE THE FOUND FAMILY TROPE I LOVE THEM SM. they have my heart. i love their friendship sm. first of all WINTER AND JACIN’S RELATIONSHIPPP AHHHHH. like i will say the romance in this book is definately it’s weakest parts of this series however winter and jacin’s relationship is defo my favourite. LIKE HELLOOOOOO. the scene when he was instructed to kill winter WAS SO CRAZY. like the way they made out right before he was gonna kill her is wild. AGHBUIGHFWOUHGFOAHFG. BUT HE DIDN’T EVEN DO IT. rip ryu tho :((( i defo think this scene was one of my many favourites ugh i cant. also i love the fact that scarlet saved her i love scarlet. i love the fact a girly saved the princess rather than a man. i also loved the fact it was scarlet that went with winter during their hiding. it was funny because i saw scarlet as the seven dwarves because this was a snow white retelling.

another thing i loved about this entire series actually was the scenes where they got seperated but they reunite. LIKE I LOVEEEEEE ALLL THE SCENES. especially the one from cress. that one is probably my favourite one. but i loved the one when wolf smelt scarlet and ran to find her. LIKEEEEE. i do think it’s kinda funny how they always bump into each other when they get seperated. like it’s just too conventient and very unrealistic but i don’t care. the fact it happened multiple times in the series is so funny. especially the one from cress where cress and throne happen to land in africa whilst the rampion crew needed to go to africa. but still i love it

i love all the characters like- the way thorne is so hilarious but i love the fact he’s so caring about cress, wolf’s very caring about scarlet, jacin is very caring about winter, kai’s an amazing leader and he’s also so caring for cinder. cinder SLAYS, she’s so brave and i love the fact she always manages to escape levana. it’s so funny. like how many times did she escpae before she was about to die? too many times. i especially love the trial scene. THE FACT SHE KILLED A SHIT TON OF PEOPLE AND JUST JUMPED OUT A WINDOW. icon. but i also thought it was too convenient that the gang manages to find cinder in the water. like iconic scene but wayy to easy. slay tho. i also LOOOOOVE scarlet. i love the fact she’s also so brave and a really good fighter. her with that gun is unstoppable. again i love the fact she’s so protective of winter. icon. girlies protecting the girlies. winter is so cute as well. she’s so sweet and amazing and she defo reminded me of her fairy-tale retelling the most. heavy snow white vibes. and again her relationship with jacin slayyyyyed. cress… i mean i understand her feeling certain things because she was isolated from society for 7 years but she is so weird when thorne interacts with other girls. LIKE THE JEALOUSY DURING AT CORONATION WAS CRAZY. like even when thorne was making out with that lunar girl, IT WAS SO OBVIOUS IT WAS GLAMOUR AND IT WASN’T HIS FAULT BUT SHE WAS SO ANGRY LIKEEE. they weren’t even officially dating. the fact she was jealous over iko is so stupid. like he pretended to be interested in the andoroid’s body is so he can give the body to iko. other than that she’s ok- i think she has the least amount of personality out of all the characters.

I LOVEEEE IKO AND CINDER’S FRIENDSHIP. first of all IKOOOOO. i love her. she’s so unserious i love her. also the scene where they reunite in the battle and iko tells cinder ‘i love you’ ARGEHOSRGWHG. soooo cute

also rip maha kesly. rip alpha strom. i didn’t like the fact his death wasn’t mentioned by scarlet. like she was the one giving him orders surely she would say something about his death. not just winter.

A fantastic end to this series! Meyer packed in so much plot and it worked! All loose ends tied up and a wonderful capstone to the Lunar Chronicles!
