At a deserted rest area called Mile 81 on the I-95, is a place where a station wagon seems to be waiting to gobble down humans. This was a great start to reading King's short stories collection The Bazaar of Bad Dreams. King has written this novella in such a vivid style, as if the sequences happening through it are all happening for real. The horror is life-like. The ending seemed fast, but I guess that was an intended thing, as what happens in the end is likely to be that fast if it was real. Feels good to return back to the mind of SK. :)

A great little gruesome story from King, I just wished it was longer.

Not the best of Stephen King, but a fun little story.

An interesting little story with some creepy elements, which make you think about Christine or From a Buick 8. I think this story was the point of start for those 2 well-known novellas.

I really enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting, I was really into it and was fearing for the characters.
I was anxious reading it, but it was a good kind of anxious.
The ending is definitely not the best part of the book but I liked everything else.

Surprisingly enough none of the children died which is pretty unusual for a King's book
I felt a bit angered everytime a character jumped right into the danger, more even when they were warned about it.
I felt really sad when the children lost their parents and wanted to hug and comfort them.

Simple ending for a simple book. Very broad strokes are used to paint this canvas, but the picture is still quaint. Written in a way that screams "This Is Only A Short Story!" it does a good job within its own field.
