Mike 81 is the story of a car (that you quickly learn is not truly a car) and the havoc it creates at an abandoned rest stop. It's reminiscent of King's Christine - in fact this work is referenced directly - however, there's also some clear IT allusions. All in all, it's an enjoyable read that will entertain you while also make you consider what the cost of being a Good Samaritan could be, how nothing is ever what it first appears to be, and how ingenuity can save the day.

Nice creepy short story. I could clearly see the little creepy bits as it was described. Made me think a lot about one of Stephen's other books Christine.

So it's gonna be a 3/5 from me... Mile 81 was not my favorite. But The Dune was excellent!! It's like a sourpatch kid Sour and then Sweet! I love these short audiobook finds! They are great when I need a break from a long book!!

What can I say, this is awesome. Stephen King has such an amazing imagination and can turn the ordinary into something scary.

This begins with a car, just a car what can you expect from that? Well, this is no normal car, this is a car that is not so nice and the main story revolves around it. The whole premise of the story relies on a teenager who is there by chance. The teenager got drunk and had to rest in a rest area and this is where the car parks and the story takes place.

This is an absolutely amazing read and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in horror. It is not scary per se, but it is psychologically thrilling :D
