It was good but all over the place. The first chunk was talking about heart break and romance and then all of a sudden it turned into a whole family thing about treating kids right and it was just so random and out of nowhere.
There were a good amount of poems I tabbed but I just didn’t connect to this poetry book much because I am in a happy healthy relationship and all of it was just sad and about missing someone you had before.

Every word carefully placed, intricately thought, and abundantly loved.

I read poetry to fill my mental tanks and judge a book based on how much fills me. One book can’t completely fill those tanks, but this one did a solid job of making me feel a little lighter.

I adore poetry and I really loved the last Iain S. Thomas book I read, so it automatically got 3 stars. This one wasn’t as special though— there wasn’t as many “wow” pages I wanted to save for later in this one as there was his last one I read. I’m pretty sure I only saved one. 2.75-3.00 stars imo.

As expected of Iain Thomas, this poetry book was a total banger. It makes you feel comforted, and validated. It makes you feel like you’re not alone. Like Iain Thomas actually cares for you hahahaha. That is his effect. The impact of his writings. He writes good and heartfelt prose and poems. I’m always going to be a fan.
