It started off really slow and took me a long time to actually finish it. Was confused for most of the book but everything really fell together in the end, thankfully. The author did a really good job making all the wrong people look guilty and shining them in a bad light just to shock you with the ending. Solid 3.5 stars.

Armstrong’s YA mystery/thrillers do tend towards large-scale government conspiracy and the persecution of the “troubled” teen. The premises are different enough, though, and characters interesting. While far-fetched, there’s enough logic interwoven in this story to suspend your disbelief and keep you guessing. Very much loved Tanya. Fun overall.

I thought it was very engaging, hooked me in within the first 2 chapters. Had me wondering what was really going on and then at the end when the characters back story was revealed - I was shocked.

The premise was intriguing with the scifi elements lending themselves well to suspense and high tension, but more could have been done with it. It ended up feeling a bit shallow to me.

this was such an amazing read!! in the first ten chapters there were plot twists and they just kept coming until everything started to unravel. some things i did see coming but others i didn’t. the way the author, kelly armstrong, wrote this was enhancing, we get multiple point of views from a few characters. there’s a romance subplot, all of it just meshed so well together. i loved this book from start to finish and i 100% recommend this!!

This was such an easy and quick read. Totally immersive story with such a unique and fun story line. I love Armstrong’s writing so much!
