dark emotional sad fast-paced

It was fast paced, psychological thriller with characters you just can’t help but love. This may be a YA thriller but I as a 30yr old woman still loved it. It was a super unique story line that was amazingly executed. I spent the entire time I was reading trying to figure out the ending and I didn’t see it coming. This book makes you think about what really makes you well… you? And how far can people go to change that? Is it nature or nurture?

This book gives darkest power series vibes minus the supernatural aspects, which I loved ( that was my favorite series when I was a teen) I would recommend to anyone who loves an extremely amazingly written thriller/ suspense/mystery novel, that grips you and doesn’t let you go until the very end, then makes you want more!!!

This is a gripping book. First, there’s the mystery to solve of what exactly is going on. When that becomes clear to the reader, and a likely explanation to the characters for what they’re experiencing, they face the hard work of proving it. And they must figure out who is betraying them. The book is a page-turner until the end, with mystery and thrills throughout. The story explores some interesting ideas that I can’t talk about at all without spoilers.

I listened to the audiobook and it really put me off. I think a better job could have been done by the narrator, or having multiple narrators for the different parts. The adults were very monotone and dull, Sydeny sounded like a little baby not a teenager. That is my biggest beef with this book is the horrendous narration. The book itself was good and I really wish I would have read this instead of listening to it.

Blythe Warren has always been the good girl. Some might even call her boring. But when one of Blythe’s closest friends begins acting strangely, she decides to investigate and ends up discovering more than she could have ever imagined.
I enjoyed this book and ended up finishing it in a little over a day. Kelley Armstrong always writes the most amazing characters, so even though I found the ending predictable, it didn’t take my interest away from the story. I would definitely recommend this book to readers who love thrillers with interesting and unique characters.
