I really liked the premise of this one. It started off pretty strong then lost a little momentum for awhile. It felt like the main characters kept doing the same thing for awhile without much purpose. It was definitely a fast read. Not bad, but not top of the class.
#netgalleyarc This book took me awhile to get into, it had a very slow start and I felt like it took awhile for the pace to pick up. Once the pace and story picked up the story got interesting. After I got into it I found this book thrilling and full of twists and turns. I’ll def be buying it for my HS library.
What if your life wasn't what you though it was?
Blythe and her friends go to a special private school. When one of her friends starts acting strange, she decides to investigate. This eventually leads to a chilling discovery.
This book had me from the very beginning. Highly recommend!

Kelley Armstrong has always been an author I've loved to read. She writes series that really have you guessing and always carry a dark, thriller vibe to it. Someone Is Always Watching for sure nails those slots for me.
Blythe is a good girl. Always doing what she should, following the rules, and never getting into trouble. Until an incident happens at school and not everything is really what it seems.
I'm not really into YA books lately but when I saw it was written by Kelley I had to give it a try. & I wasn't disappointed! There are moments in the book where things drag a little or just don't really seem to make much sense. I also found Blythe a little too wishy washy at times. The twist at the end.. wasn't really a twist. You can kind of see it coming. The world itself is interesting though and I'm curious how this story can possibly continue!
Thanks to NetGalley for the Arc!

This is fast pace physiological thriller and it was hard to put down. As you try to connect the dots more trauma and mystery unfolds. What a messed up concept.

Kelley Armstrong is a strong and cohesive writer. I loved the detail in her writing and I did not have to backtrack after setting the book down for a day or two. It is, indeed, a psychological thriller, but I do not believe it was a psychological thriller that aligned with my personal taste.
A lot of the characters were thought out well, (Tanya being my favorite) while others just seemed to have a walk-through experience that made me more curious about their character development, but it was lacking.
The last 30% of my book were my favorite. It was inventive, a little twisted, but I felt overall, the book took a little too long with teen nuances to reach the precipitous of excitement thirst in a psych thriller.
I'd like to take my age into account. I do love a good YA, but it just seemed like a lot of teenage back and forth, which works great given the character dynamic. All was deployed well and will hit its centered market beautifully.
I would be interested in other books by Shelley Armstrong on a more adult level and refer audiences of a more YA late 20s market.
Also, the cover to the story doesn't add up much to me? Is it a filing cabinet? post?

4.5, WOW. Someone Is Always Watching was really really entertaining. The beginning was a little slow and confusing at first since so many characters were introduced at once, but the story really picked up quickly, After a certain point, it was hard for me to put the book down.
I love thriller novels, and this book delivered everything that should come with a thriller. There were so many twists and turns with an overall jaw-dropping storyline. It was also really hard for me to make predictions (which I like because I love being surprised when everything is revealed). If you enjoyed A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, you will definitely enjoy this as well! I am really hoping for a prequel because I am dying to know the backstory behind CMT.

Super interesting concept from Kelley Armstrong! Loved the twist between Tanya and Tucker at the end.
Absolutely could not get enough of Tucker! He was the perfect mix of protective and respectful/loving. His obvious love for Blythe throughout the entire book was achingly beautiful. Loved the friendly dynamic and mutual quiet love between the two.
Really enjoyed the mystery in this as well. I was sure I knew how the ending was going to turn out, but I missed the mark in the end.
Definitely recommend Someone Is Always Watching!
