Suspend your disbelief. Very little of this actually makes sense if you stop and think about it. Don’t. Sit back, enjoy the craziness and don’t think too hard. Whether that’s a recipe for a memorable read or not, it definitely makes for a page turner.
Our main character, Blythe, and her friends have always been close. They’ve shared so many things. But when Gabrielle seems to experience a psychotic episode/breakdown it sets off the others. They hear things. They see things. They struggle to trust their memories. We’re never sure of the extent to which we can trust their memories, so have to sit tight while they try to figure it out.
The reality is, I’d like to think, wholly improbable but there’s a glimmer of possibility that it’s plausible. As such I read this in a curious state of shock/unease and felt pretty pleased to get back to my boring life once the cover was closed.

Sure it was obvious what was happening at the company/school, but it was still fun to read. There were a few twists and turns I didn't see coming, but a lot that I did. I was kind of confused about some parts of the experiment (like the control subject), though I do think eventually it was explained enough that I got it.

This was a strange book to read because, despite the synopsis, it wasn’t at all what I expected. I liked it because I liked the characters but I wasn’t holding on to know what happens next. It’s not the kind of book I’d seek out again for a re read but it was a good book overall. The romance did feel a bit superfluous though.

someone Is Always Watching, by Kelley Armstrong.
3/5⭐️⭐️⭐️
TRIGGER WARNINGS-

Death, kidnapping, abuse, murder, sexual assault
One day out of the blue Gabrielle has a mental brake down at school that causes her group of friends to start questioning what the real cause of her brake down was. Slowly things start to unravel and they all realize that their lives are not entirely what they seem, or rather what they were told, well more remember.
Really good start that sucked you in, the middle started to fall flat and was a bit confusing-but I think that was more me as my interest was waning and it's where I kind of began to lose interest, and then the ending was anti-climatic and tied up too nicely.

The YA version of “All is Not Forgotten” by Wendy Walker - really liked the relationships but couldn’t suspend my disbelief enough to loose myself in the plot.

One of the best mysteries I’ve read in a while, with many twists—some predictable some very shocking. Characters were great too, Tanya was my favorite.
