*Received an ARC from NetGalley and Penguin Random House Canada in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own*
*Trigger warnings*- gun use, talk of mental illness, talk of sexual assault and abuse.
Only teens whose parents work at the medical research firm attend a private high school in town. They start having vivid memory flashes of murders they’ve committed, they think it’s all fake. As more suspicious things start happening the teens dig deeper into the secrets of their parent's jobs.
The parents were invited to work in a trial for kids who suffered early trauma and it wipes the children’s memories so they can grow up and live life not remembering the murders.
I have always enjoyed the other works by this author, however, this one flopped for me. The start was very slow, and the story picked up at about halfway. Some parts felt rushed and others dragged along. The concept for the story was fascinating which led me to want to read this book but the execution of it was very boring (what happened, how long the buildup took, the ending) I thought the ending was rushed, it gave a very vague answer of not knowing what would happen next instead of spending the time to address it.

This was another fantastic mystery, I love these characters and their story, and I wanted to know what was going on, and it was such a great read!
