Can’t decide if this felt more like a fever dream or a bad whodunnit that never passed through an editor

⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 for this teen thriller. A group of friends discover that they have been a part of an experiment by a group of scientists. They have nightmares and flashbacks, and discover that their families aren’t what or who they thought they were. This is good for teens looking for a new thriller, and I’d say it works for mature 7th grade and up.

High school drama, secrets, lying, murder

The premise was solid but halfway through, the mysteries had been revealed and I didn’t care enough about the characters to keep listening to them rehash everything over and over again for 6 more hours.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one for what it was. At times, it was a bit obvious, but it's a pretty solid ya thriller/mystery. There were still a few twists and turns I wasn't expecting. The book was a fun read and much better than I had anticipated.

A sci-fi addition to a murder mystery type story. Very fun, characters are not super hate-able

I received a copy from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review!
I’ve been a fan of Kelley Armstrongs work for years. My favorite trilogy as a kid was The Darkest Powers. I use to reread it every few years with my sister. So I was overjoyed to receive this arc.

I would say 3.5 stars on this only because at times it was easy to guess the direction it was heading and the overall plot line. But it was still enjoyable and had me entertained the entire time. Almost like I was already rereading the book at some points. I think this would be a fantastic read for someone who hasn’t read much of this genre and wants to start and see how it goes! It’s a simple read with a satisfying pay out at the end.
