If I heard “Snow lands on top” one more time

Snow’s internal monologue adds a new layer to Collins’ writing. Enduring the suffering of Panem, Snow must navigate poverty, violence, and challenges to his family name. In contrast to his cousin Tigress’ behavior, Snow becomes consumed by pride and the pursuit of power— choices that shape the many decades to follow.

I love how The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes explores themes of political corruption and totalitarian rule. Most of all, it left me with a powerful question: if government control after war is necessary, what actions should be taken, and at what cost?
