I read a good amount of self help books and this had some good points, but seemed to be missing something. Not sure why, but there was a lot of judgement throughout the book and that seems counterproductive to the topic.

AUDIOBOOK

This book was excellent!!!! Highly recommend to anyone who struggles with negative thoughts, anxiety, depression, etc. Practical applications, great biblical explanation, and the author is real and relatable. 10/10. This is like the Christian version of the 'you are a badass' books.

Before I read this book, I heard a podcast interview with the author. What she shared transformed the way that I cope with my anxiety. So thankful for her wisdom that she shared. It has helped me greatly!

I quite enjoyed this book, enjoyed the story and enjoyed Jennie. If I left it at that I could easily give it five stars. However I think I anticipated tips on getting out of your head and taking thoughts captive. I found that quite minimal and the advice given wasn’t the most helpful. That being said it was a good reminder that was backed with scripture.

I'm really rating it about 3.5. The premise is excellent; I like that she did some studying of the brain/mind and she makes some really good points with Scripture to back it up. But some of her stories were downright annoying, as well as her approach to certain things; unfortunately, I found myself annoyed more than once, however, because I listen to the audio version at an increased speed it was easy to finish.

I say, listen to the audio, sift through the fluff, take what really matters & is true, because there are a few really good notes in it.
