I can not recommend this book enough. Wanna change the way you negatively view thugs, Jennie tells us to think with the mind of Christ. We can choose a different path!!

I disliked this book. Spiritual change doesn’t all change in the head. You don’t think your way through it. She’s misguided and I’d never let her near any of our kids at church.

- a scriptural approach to battling anxiety
- vulnerability
- how to renew your mind
- each chapter discusses ways to reframe our thoughts and behaviors!

5⭐️ Everyone should read this, especially those who have a religious or Christian background. I also, can’t say enough good things about Atomic Habits as well. If you want real change, follow up with that book. Back to Get out of your head, It’s not necessarily about anything I don’t already know but it puts things that I already knew inter perspective. And it incorporates biblical scripture and truths. Having developed a very negative mindset, becoming very cynical, and catastrophizing everything has become very depressing. This book helped to remind me that I always have a choice about what I think, which ultimately leads to the way I act and feel about myself and others. It has helped me to recognize those negative thought patterns and refocus and turn them into something more positive. By pointing out the lies I’ve begun to believe about myself, others, and the world. Sometimes things in life can lead to overall terrible thinking patterns, which ultimate lead to an unhealthy mentality which can affect your health as well. If you’re sick of feeling depressed and unhappy, I cant recommend this book enough. I think everyone can greatly benefit from reading this book.

I took so many notes while reading this book. Many things I already knew, but I needed the reminders. I needed her stories to help these tools stick with me. This was well written full of practical ways to train the way you think. What you think affects so much about how you live. I will refer back to this book to remind myself how to think better and strengthen my faith.

I am currently stuck in a cycle of being very much stuck I'm my own head. During this COVID-19 crisis my own thought processes are absolutely keeping me from living my best self and Jennie's book was a great reminder of how I really do have more control over my thoughts than I act like sometimes. I appreciated her writing style, her conviction, and her ability to teach with love and the spirit. A really good book for anyone who finds them in negative thought patterns, or who allows other sources to influence how we feel about ourselves, and about the world around us.

(I receive an Advanced Readers Copy of this book from #NetGalley in exchange for my honest review of the book)

Another book that I had high hopes for given it's popularity. IMO it lacked practical advice or strategies. It was just an ok read.
