I listened to this book and thought the narrator was a little monotone. I also felt like there were too many plot lines. It was decent enough for a short read.

A little on-the-nose at points (the bad guys literally call themselves the Old Boys Club), and there's virtually no resolution at the end.

Really enjoyed the audiobook narrator and didn't feel the urge to DNF it, though, so I guess 3 stars by default

Every cliche imaginable. The main character is a bore (at least he sounded that way in the audio version). Stereotype of the inscrutable laconic PI/location scout with a heart underneath that tough exterior. Don't waste your time.

I thought this book was fine. The MC being a PI and a location scout for films gave the story an interesting angle. It allowed the story to have a bit of an edge from just standard detective stories. I thought the characters were fine, but they didn't wow me. It did feel like the plot was a bit disjointed at times.

I don’t have anything to add that hasn’t already been said by multiple other reviewers. Audiobook narration and plot together are a snoozefest. I’ve got too many other things to read & listen to that don’t require me pushing through. Pass.
