While Bear is hibernating in his lair during, his woodland friends take shelter during a heavy storm. What starts as a small gathering quickly turns into a party...which wakes up Bear. At first, he is furious with being woken up, and then he quickly becomes sad at being left out. His friends make amends by continuing the party with good food and good stories.

A great choice for storytimes: engaging illustrations, repetitive phrases, and great rhythm in the text.

Let's be honest, I just love Karma Wilson. Her books are just magical.

The Bear Snores On series is probably what Karma Wilson is best known for. While I did love this book, I must admit that I love some of her other book even more.
For those that are new to Ms. Wilson's work, I would definitely recommend "The Cow Loves Cookies" and "There's an Animal Strike at the Zoo". Those are two of my favorite!

My godson's father is famed for his snoring... So this was a pretty darn obvious choice as a gift.
It's winter and the bear is hibernating... But that doesn't stop a lot of animals from seeking shelter in his nice warm cave... And having a party! But what will the bear think about all these animals in his cave, eating his food, when he wakes up?
The animals are quite cute and the general storyline slows to a nice pace each time that we repeat "But the bear snores on."

Surprisingly popular with a day camp group today. They were older than I expected (4-8), so I was sure they'd find this babyish, but they really quite liked it.

Is also available to have sound effects via the app Novel effect. Great addition to the story telling process for students.
