Great read

I loved this book! It's surreal to read a story that takes place in the area you live. Great characters, interesting plot.. Consider me an official Joshilyn Jackson fangirl!

Enjoyable read and a nice change of pace with a plot and main character that are unexpected. Well-read audiobook.

I have loved JJ since her first book. Her writing resonates with me. Sometimes I feel like she has reached inside my head and plucked out sentences, descriptions, or feelings. I loved this book so much. I hope you do too!

it was extremely easy to read and a great option when you are looking for a light beach or vacation read.

DFN, enough said.

While the general plotline seems familiar (crazy, flaky mama loses custody), there are character and plot developments that are fresh and surprising. And the ending is uncommonly satisfying.

An unusual and heartwarming story.

I loved this book. It is my second by Jackson, and very different from Almost Sisters, the first I had read by her -- much darker, more difficult to get into initially. I didn't warm up to the Hindu stories sprinkled throughout, but boy did I fall in love with the characters, moreso with every page. I was so happy with the ending yet so very sad to see it end. I'd love to read a sequel with these compelling characters.

Joshilyn Jackson is one of the authors who drops off my radar in between times when I read one of her books, adore it, and urge it on everyone I know. I got The Opposite of Everyone at the April library booksale, and I loved it--would have loved it to be 50 pages longer, in fact, just to enjoy the story and the characters. It's fast-paced and well written. Again, I'm urging you to read it!

Luckily, Jackson has several books out that I haven't read. Summer goals?

Re-read this in August 2022. It's really good! I wish she'd follow up on this character group!

Loved this book!
