Thank you to #NetGalley and HQ for giving me an ARC of #TheStolenSisters by #LouiseJenson in exchanged for my honest review.

2 stars -

The Stolen Sisters was an enjoyable read. I couldn't put the book down!

There were some interesting twists revealed and I didn't expect most of them! I guess it would be predictable in ways.

I have a type of OCD so it was interesting to see how it was presented.

SpoilerI honestly didn't like what they did to Carly. I know! Plot twist!
But it felt like the story didn't need to be about that. She didn't need that after being singled out.

Don't get me started on George. Oh poor me! My wife made me do it blah blah blah. Leah deserved better than the stereotypical cheater.

The therapist? Could you BE more unethical?!

The parents are horrible. Enough said. Those poor girls.

After reflecting, I changed my rating to 3.5 stars.

This is the gripping story of the three Sinclair Sisters that will have you hooked from the get go! It is the story about the day that the sisters are abducted and subjected to a terrifying ordeal until they are later found and freed.
The story is told from each sister’s perspective and on a dual time line. The author deftly details the devastating effects the abduction has had on each of the girls mental health as they grow up, until it reaches the shocking climax on the 20th anniversary of their abduction.
The book’s short chapters keep you turning the pages and the plot takes the reader on multiple twists and turns which never take you quite where you think they will take you.
Louise Jensen has done it again!! This is a great read that I have no hesitation in recommending.
Thanks to NetGalley and publishers HQ for this ARC.

Another page turner. Lots of twists. It’ll keep you guessing till the end.

Wow! What a wild ride!
So many twists and turns I got dizzy!
If you want a fast paced, gripping thriller, this is the book for you!
Great characters and a fantastic plot! Definitely a new author for me to look out for!

When we meet the Sinclair Sisters - Carly, Leah and Marie - they are fairly typical kids. However, they are about to undergo a traumatic experience, one that will shape them for the future. Carly resents being left to babysit her younger sisters, but her only thought is to protect them when they are abducted from outside their house.
Told in split narrative we see that the girls survived their experience, and the story focuses on us learning how this has affected them. We follow them as they deal with both their past and present.
The style of writing was absorbing, and there were plenty of hints about secrets being held - meaning plenty of chances to hypothesise and try to work out exactly what was being covered up. While some elements were quite obvious, there were one or two surprises that meant some parts of the story didn’t feel resolved until later.
Thanks to NetGalley for giving me the chance to read this prior to publication.

Thrilling, disturbing- in the best kind of way!

Louise Jensen can NEVER let me down!
This book kept me hooked, her writing is masterful and will keep you guessing (as your theories will never be right). The twists and turns in this book is so clever and so twisted I devoured this book. I also love how in every book I learn a new illness and she educates the reader in a way they don't even know they are being educated.
Definitely my go to author for crime/mystery/thriller book. Absolutely amazing. So gripping, so chilling, will definitely stay with me for a long time (I don't know if thats a good or bad thing).
