Some seemed to think My Brilliant Friend was a slow start to these novels, although I enjoyed it and found it really absorbing. The Story of a New Name took over my life, though. I didn't want to do anything else until I was finished, and yesterday, nearing the end, I went out and bought Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay because I want to stay in this world, with these characters. These books are perfect reading for slow summer days in which you can totally immerse yourself.

I loved the story but, honestly speaking, I think the book is just too long. However, it kept me and I really want to read the following book.
And, most amazing, after two books I still don’t know what I fell about Lila. Do I hate her or do I fell petty for her?
