Pretty decent start for a reverse harem. The guys are not exactly fleshed out but this is solid enough to keep going.

This story gets better and better. I loved the ending. I order to gain her spark (power) she must do a ceremony that links her to her consort (husband) otherwise she will lose the chance and never know what it is like to have the spark. It should be a great thing but it seems stepmothers in this story are mean, at least her’s is. But four boys from her past will change things in her favor. A little magic, some intrigue and backstabbing and some hot RH scenes. Can’t wait to see if things heat up in the next book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.

So I have listen to one other series by Eva, and to be honest I can’t really remember it, but in all fairness I get through a lot of audiobooks. I can coming down from listening to one of my favourite authors (JA Huss) and this is very very different from those. It took a bit to get into this and I have to say not a fan of Tristan James as a narrator. Interest to see where this series goes

I was really hoping for more romance instead of just BAM they all remember liking her as children and she them soooo they are together.
The background story was interesting though. The world of witches and witching men seems pretty unique and hopefully we will learn more.

What an interesting concept. I have never come across a book that had this sort of premise and thoroughly enjoyed the storyline.

A witch needs a consort to get her powers... hmmm, tell me more. The consort can only be a witching man? What seems to be the problem... OHHHH, you want the mortal men who don't actually know you're a witch. Got it. Well, if you need them all, get them all. That is sort of the point of a reverse harem right? ;)

I was a little underwhelmed with background information given to create the story. You don't really get much explanation into why the characters were all separated when they were younger. You also don't much information about the witching world.

The smut is typical reverse harem, although I was impressed that it made its appearance so much in the first book of the series. I have read quite a few RH series and that is not as common as you would expect. Overall, I enjoyed the premise and the storyline. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series. This first one ended on quite an interesting cliffhanger.

So i really enjoyed this books. It features of main character Rose who is a witch who is nearing her 25th birthday which means she must get a consort or her spark will be gone forver. I really liked her as a character as she was really focused on her goal and thoguht for what she believed in. She had 4 boys who were non magic who were like her best friends from child hood that she was rekindling a friendship with now that she was home. I liked reading the scenes where they were together as it showed that they had change but also that their friendship hadnt even if circumstances were different. I liked the mystery aspect and how they were all being detectives. What i liked was trying to work it all out alongside them while reading. This book does feature an arrange consorting like an arranged marrage which i didnt mind as at the begining  thought derek who was her to be consort was a nice enough chap and didnt see anything wrong with him.

This book was very Steamy come the last half and i was not expecting it. It was a bit uncomfortable to read luckily i listened to it on audiobook but it definatley gave more depth to the story and was needed.
