This is the first "kids book" I've rated on GoodReads, and it's something I've been debating. As a father of two small kids, I spend a huge amount of my time with books reading to or with my boys. There are some amazing kids books that I've read, but I didn't feel compelled to add them here. Only now that we're getting into chapter books (yes, this is a graphic novel but it is long) I've been thinking I should add my reviews.

Mermin is a lot of fun. It's pretty simple, but my 4 year old son loves it. The themes of safety, friendship, and belonging are great conversation starters and I feel very comfortable with him just reading it on his own. We are both excited to read the next one.
