DNF @60%. As a historical fiction lover, the premise seemed so interesting, but the book was very slowly paced and hardly anything interesting plot or character wise happened the entire time I was reading. Rather, the author spent a lot of time depicting the setting.

Hannelore was the only good character and great autism rep. Girl, I’d be counting snails and having meltdowns too if I was stuck in a book this boring
