I think I loved this one even more than the first book!
The romance is super cute and a lot more prevalent in this one.

My favorite part was probably that this book is from Nickolas’s perspective, and that he is actually kind of the damsel in distress. Most romances are from the woman’s pov so it was super fun to see the guys side. I also just love Nickolas!

Within the Hollow heart is super easy to get into and kept me hooked the whole time.
It’s got a sweet romance with a cinnamon roll MMC and a strong (but still feminine) FMC.
We get a bit of political intrigue, fae, magic and curses, all combined with lovable characters and an engaging plot.

This was a quick, easy read perfect for people looking for a cozy book reminiscent of Margaret Rogerson’s books.

Excuse me?! That was adorable.

I loved this instalment more than the first one! 😍 It’s rare to get a fantasy story with only the MMC’s POV, but Nicklaus is a hilarious narrator—especially when he’s unwillingly shoved into a desperate situation. And we love a man smitten. 🤭 Jules and her clever wit are Nicklaus’s perfect match.

The world building and magic felt much more understandable and flashed out with plenty of fast paced moments and situational comedy.

I mean, fae bargains and curses, twisty deceptions, fake engagements, hidden identity, a nod to “The Wild Swans” fairytale, and evading maliciously matchmaking mothers—such a riot! So stinkin’ cute!! 🥰

Content: a man is tied to a woman’s bedpost to try and trap him in a compromising situation but he escapes; man clamours over a statue of an undressed woman on a horse while escaping the above situation, apologizing embarrassed when he grabbed her breast; a couple cute kisses

This book was a bit of a disappointment. We get some progression of the overarching plot and some nice moments between the love interests, but overall I was underwhelmed.

Nicholas as a character was entertaining and Jules a good counter to his antics. However, the progression of events in the book felt chaotic, like the reader was being pushed toward the reveal and ending. For a novella there was decent development of the romance, but ultimately by the end it felt like everything was just setting up for the next book.

Very enjoyable! Prudie approved. Sweet romance best experienced after book 1 rather than as a standalone. I liked Nickolas and Jules in book one, and this brought them a love story almost worthy of their characters.
