Second book in this series and it was really good. The romance was much better developed. I think this author does much better when the characters have a past together. She also did such a good job describing Hadley’s adventures. The imagery and elation were so well conveyed. I’m such a sucker for single dad romance and that was really well done here too. Birdie and Sage were such sweethearts.

4.5 stars

This was a really great read! I enjoyed everything about it. I loved Hadley in the first book and I am glad I got to know more about her. Birdie and Sage were adorable and I loved them to pieces. I loved the twist at the end. I really wasn’t expecting it. I left too long between books to remember who everyone was but once I got into it, it got cleared up quickly. Something was missing to make it 5 stars but 4.5 stars is pretty close!

3.75 ish? Second chance romance, single dad, brother’s BFF - so many tropes! Definitely liked this way more than the first book in the series.

Another amazing read! I loved that Calder was the one that got Hadley into her mountain biking and it became something she loved dearly. The emotional trauma these two endured was hard to read because it almost felt like these characters were friends of yours. Also the big family showdown at dinner between mama Jules and Hadley was my favorite scene because it finally gave us protector Calder and the rest of the family. I didn’t like that all was forgive with Julia right away. Family is sometimes hard to love and I feel like there should’ve been more time to let Julia know her mistakes and make it up to Hadley.
