I'm a broken record when it comes to this series, but I am just not the target audience. I would have eaten this up as a teen, but as an adult it just does nothing for me. I probably should have DNF'd the series long ago, but I had purchased the entire series in one big ebook, so I was determined to finish it.
There's nothing generally wrong with it. My main complaint is that each book is too long, and so the series in general is too long. I didn't particularly like Rose or Lissa overall, but I did like a lot of the side characters. If it grabs your attention and you really like Rose and Lissa at the start, then you will probably enjoy this.

I love these books. I didn't want to finish this one even though I know she's still writing in the universe generally. I just don't know if I like the Alchemists as much as the Guardians...

I can not believe that this series is over. Done. Complete. No more reading in Rose Hathaway's point of view. No more. I have no words after reading this.
