die kaninchen sind mir so ans herz gewachsen mit ihren verhaltensweisen und wie liebevoll sie im endeffekt miteinander umgehen.
die suche nach zibben wegen der fortpflanzung war bisschen komisch zu lesen, weil ich natürlich will, dass menschen nicht nur auf ihr fortpflanzungsorgane reduziert werden, aber dann hab ich mich dran erinnert, dass es kaninchen sind haha die sind anders drauf.
bin motiviert mich jetzt über die entstehungsgeschichte schlau zu machen und vllt das graphic novel oder die serie zu schauen!

Adams does his best to distract you with adorable descriptions of the bunnies and you'll want to dive into a pile of satin-furred fluffs the entire book. But make no mistake. This is a story about war and power, and how men are obsessed with both and how there is the constant need to own more and more. Even the "hero" rabbit of the story is not opposed to sacrificing others, though he pretends the way he does it is way better than the way the "villains" do it. It all goes to show that war isn't glamorous or heroic and that even if it achieves peace, the blood will stain the ground forever.

This was a surprisingly good book. I say surprising because I figured reading about rabbits would be boring or weird and I wasn't all that excited about reading about the adventures of talking wildlife. But the writer did them justice! It felt pretty real, which I think made the book. He worked with the limitations rabbits might actually have instead of making them human; they still felt like rabbits. It made me feel actually more empathetic towards smaller animals that you might not really consider before. I thought the story was very well written and engaging, entertaining, (the only parts I didn't enjoy as much were the stories the rabbits would tell – I find that is pretty common in my reading though, I get bored when the writer starts having his characters tell stories, like in The Way of King’s when they’d have the dreams, etc. It’s not that the stories were bad, I think it’s just I wanted to keep reading about the rabbits and I didn't like the interruption!) The story ended pretty happily, and while there were a ton of scrapes that you thought might end up badly, no one really ended up too much the worse for wear. I enjoyed it a lot.
