I never knew I could be so attached to rabbits. A wonderful tale of survival and community building with some truly lovely language

5 stars. I love this book to bits. Best rabbit exposition ever. Will add more details later.

Wonderful read!
Adams very much succeeds in creating a distinct world seen from the eyes of rabbits, but weaves in human characteristics, interpretations and values.
Very imaginative prose, I felt I was really there in the English countryside, and rich characters, with their own personalities, strengths and shortcomings. You keep rooting for them!

I had no expectation for this book. It has been on my list to read for some time. I loved it. It had adventure and heart. My favorite character was Big Wig. I found him to be comforting. The other rabbits needed him to be their protector and they gave him respect and trusted him no matter what. He was just like a big dad, pretecting his family. Big Wig never even thought twice about defending the other rabbits even when he was hurt or sure he woudl be killed.

Great great story!

Not much to say but great story and amazing characters. Author did a really good job of giving human character to the rabbits but not crossing the line of making them do anything physical that rabbits couldn’t do. Great ending. The only reason that I am not giving this book an even higher rating is that the pace dragged a bit for me near the middle.
