This book continues the cosy, heartwarming vibe of Emily and Wendell and their crazy, fantastical world of faeries and creatures. Following the academic success they achieved in the first book, and the antics of Wendell’s questionably psychotic family, Emily and Wendell continued their studies to the Austrian Alps in the hopes of finding Wendell’s faerie home. I loved the extension of characters we were introduced to; Emily’s niece, their cranky colleague Professor Rose, and Wendell’s cat. It felt like a true sequel and I was delighted to find out that there would be a third, which I serendipitously found today in a bookshop today!
I also loved the slight increase in romance between Emily and Wendell. Emily is such an awkward person in typical social interactions and Wendell is so enamoured by her that it pulls on my heart strings. I can’t wait to read more!

someone needed to tell people there would be a third book after this and without a release date yet

I ended up liking this so much better than the first one. I’ve listened to both on audiobook and prefer it. The narrator is great for this series.
I liked the pacing much more in this. I liked the characters more in this one. Just overall an improved experience from the first one.

incredible and exactly what i needed. this book was perfect. i have nothing to say besides i am so pleased and want to live in this world forever. i love emily, i love wendell, i love rose, everything was perfect. i jumped for joy when i found out the third book was already out. i’m so happy.
