A really insightful book about people of different backgrounds. Interesting and gives light to marginalised peoples stories. Nothing really happens though so not really for people looking for a big plot and suspens.

The author did a wonderful job portraying the complexity of the historical event through the views and stories of different characters. I wish there was maybe a few less characters though - I had a hard time bouncing between so many different people and plot lines.
