This book is so inspiring! I literally read about an incredible woman every night before bed for the last two months and it changed me. You don't realize how few and far between these role models are in your life until you make a point of learning about them. I love this! I now have a list of biographies to read and I plan to read this book over and over. What better way to fall asleep than dreaming of joining the ranks of such wonderful women?
Wanted to love this, so the high expectations may skew my review...
I know it's a children's book but it felt a little oversimplified at times when it didn't need to be. Also felt the descriptions of certain figures skimmed over key points and other times mention on who the person married which was a little disappointing and irrelevant.
Also not a fan of calling people fearless. I think it would be better to teach young people how to handle their emotions rather than just say some people don’t experience fear (which I believe is a lie).
Good idea, wasn't a massive fan of the execution. I listened to the Audio so may be better in person.

A wonderful book I received as a Christmas present, full of inspiring little stories and beautiful illustrations. I read it carefully, each day, out loud, with my mother, or my aunt, other friends, or whoever I found, and I plan to read it again, to children. I'm really glad it exists, and quite excited to get my hand on the second one as well.

This was a cool book. Some of the women they chose as role models for girls are very not good (Coco Chanel, a nazi. Margaret Thatcher, a war criminal. I'm probably forgetting some others), but overall there's a lot of inspiring awesome women in this and the illustrations are really nice.

This is a beautiful book for young women, to empower them; to educate them; to make them reach for more.
