Muito bom ter a oportunidade de ler um livro que exalta as mulheres, mostrando o quanto somos fortes, determinadas, talentosas, lindas... E que felicidade poder ler isso para minha filha de quatro anos.

Amazing book that showcases so many amazing women in history that isn't talked about enough. I feel so much more informed about these incredible women who changed so much in the world yet don't get the recognition for it.

Jamás me hubiera podido imaginar encontrarme con blanqueamiento a Margaret Thatcher en un libro infantil. “Cuando eliminó la leche gratuita en las escuelas de primaria, la gente se quejó. Cuando ganó la guerra contra Argentina en las Islas Malvinas, la gente admiró su fuerza y su determinación.” Sure, Jan lol.

Y no vamos a hablar de la heteronormatividad que asume en algunas mujeres queer de las que habla.

En fin, decepcionante.

I got this book as a gift from my Secret Santa at work (such a fun surprise!) and have been reading a few pages to my 8 year old daughter at bedtime ever since. Wonderful book with inspiring stories, many that I wasn't familiar with prior to reading this. I used several of the women's stories as inspirationa  material on my whiteboard (I work at a middle school) during Black history month and Women's history month -- and both kids and teachers loved checking out the stories. My daughter and I have now started on the 2nd one. Definitely recommend!
