Really interesting to hear from Rachel’s pov. It was nice to see how compassionate she is, and how brave she is as well.
These books are much more i tense than I remember! 😆

this arc made me tear up more than once. things are getting dark fast
So it looks like each book is going to be written from a different characters perspective. With all the preamble over I found this book much easier to get into, and I enjoyed it more.
The first book from Rachel's POV. I honestly really liked this one. Things were on a much smaller scale than the grand battle to rid Earth of an alien infestation, but I think it humanizes a lot of the characters. We get to see how the Yeerks taking over hosts affect the people around the hosts as well. I honestly forgot how action packed these types of books could be despite how short they are. It honestly plays a big part in how fast these are to read.

The Solace: I love that each book is told from a different Animorph's perspective. This book is quick-paced and easy to binge-read. This story was a good foundation - a good setup as we are starting to learn more about the characters, what motivates them, and their feelings towards this drastic change.
The Dread: I didn't love Rachel (not yet, anyway). It was hard for me to relate to her motivations and feelings.
Overall, this was a good read. I love how K.A. builds up the world and, more importantly, these characters. I'm interested to learn more about Rachel and the gang.

Not much to say about such short books. Just that I want to read the next.
