Bedtime Stories for the Criminally Insane (and Poetry) is a collection of horror short stories and poems by Shawn Bailey. I won a copy of this book thanks to a TheStorygraph's giveaway and I have to say, it is a little gem!
The book is not very long (less than 200 pages), but it contains a lot of different stories and many incredibly beautiful and creepy illustrations. I enjoyed reading it, even though I didn't necessarily love *everything*, but overall I found the poems more interesting and unique than the stories.
My favorite ones are: Nurture, High Tide, The Clock and Cold Pasta.
Thank you Shawn Bailey for sending me a copy of your work!

I won this book as part of a StoryGraph giveaway. And it did not dissapoint! The illustrations are awesome, and it's really helpful that at the end there is a small explanation about what each Story and poem mean. I really enjoyed the Christmas stories. Thank you to the author for the book, and the extra goodies inside!

I got chills down my back on a couple of stories. The illustrations were also pretty creepy. My favourite story is Boards and Nails. What are kids doing?
