Gentle and tender, this bite-sized, all-ages book follows a boy and the animal friends he makes as they adventure and swap life lessons with each other. The rough, but beautiful, ink and watercolor illustrations throughout compliment Mackesy’s writing perfectly, and make this a gorgeous, heartwarming little ode to love, kindness, and friendship. Highly recommend for fans of Winnie the Pooh or Calvin and Hobbes!
This book is sweet, simple, and pulls you up into the world you want to live in.

Loved it. So sweet and gentle and beautifully drawn and written.
Very much a book you can gift to someone. Though I expected to cry a little (but didn't).

I read this book in the middle of Winter Storm Uri, snowed in by the fire after the power had gone out, and I think that was absolutely the perfect way to read it. This book is simply coziness for the soul. It is whimsy in the darkness. Mackesy's characters are akin to Milne's, and this book is altogether charming. A quick read for everyone, so no one has an excuse not to read it!
