Cute fluffy light hearted story on the surface with a deeper meaning beneath.
Chi, a persocom different to all others is searching for where she belongs and who she belongs with. Her search leads her through troubles and adventures with an interesting ending.
I enjoyed it as my first trip into manga.

this is heavily flawed, it's obviously problematic as many manga are, but had more moments (a.k.a chi) that helped me ignore that. while a manga like, for ex, dress up darling never stops with the creepiness. i wanted to give a 5 but some parts of this are just soooo idk, some parts bother me, but i leave 3 stars for chi and a star for the whole premise/plot which is really cool.

Re-read 2021: Decided it was high time to re-read this series again! It's has been a long time (probably around 10 years) since I last read the series, so I am hyped! In this one Hideki finds a persocom at the trash. And what follows are funny day to day events as Hideki and Chi live together and try to figure out what Chi is. Because Chi is something. She moves without OS, sometimes acts a bit weird, and there is more! While its been years, I still remember most of the details and I cannot wait to see the story unfold, to find out all about Chi. I love all the references to other CLAMP stuff (like the café he meets up with that guy who is helping him out). I love the idea of persocoms. I mean, I would love one! I am not sure if I would like a laptop or a PC, they are both so amazing (and cute).
The art is really nice!

My first manga - this started me off! A great, sweet little series with a less-than-satisfying last volume; but the rest is worth it.

This is one of those series that I am surprised I enjoyed or liked back when I read it because at the time I was so uncomfortable with sexuality. But I loved Chobits. Made me laugh and cry. I think I watched the show before I read the manga... Not 100% positive.

It was a very faithful adaptation though. And the theme songs were amazing (because goodreads is where you review songs for anime right?)

Given how... infantile Chi does act though makes me wonder how I would feel about this series if I reread it. I'd probably still enjoy it because of the nostalgia factor, but I would likely be more critical of a lot of things in it.
